What is covered
Workmanship, for the life of the glass
If anything goes wrong that traces back to the way the glass was installed, we put it right at no cost. That means water leaks, wind noise, trim or moulding that comes loose, glass that was not set to factory position, and adhesive failure.
There is nothing to register and no card to keep. Your invoice is the record.
It transfers with the vehicle
Most warranties end the day you sell the car. Ours does not. Keep the invoice with the service records and whoever buys the vehicle is still covered.
If you are selling, that is worth mentioning. A documented lifetime glass warranty is a small but real selling point.
Glass defects
Manufacturing faults in the glass itself are covered by the manufacturer's warranty rather than by us. Delamination, distortion and defects in a heating element or antenna all fall under it.
We handle that claim for you rather than sending you to the manufacturer.
Chip repairs
If you are not happy with a chip repair, or the damage spreads from the repaired area afterwards, we credit what you paid toward a new windshield.
What is not covered
New damage is new damage. A fresh rock chip, a break-in, a crack from a new impact or an accident is not a warranty claim, though it is very often an insurance one and we will file that for you.
Damage from an accident, vandalism or another shop working on the same glass afterwards also falls outside it. We would rather say that plainly here than in small print later.
Making a claim
Call us. That is the whole process. Tell us what the vehicle is doing, when it was installed if you know, and we will arrange to look at it.
If it is ours to fix, we fix it. If it turns out to be something else, we will tell you what it actually is rather than leave you guessing.
Questions
Warranty questions
Do I need to register the warranty?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and no card to keep. Your invoice is the record, so keep it with your service documents.
What if I sell the car?
The warranty goes with it. Keep the invoice with the service records and the next owner is still covered.
How long does 'lifetime' actually mean?
For the life of the glass we installed. If that windshield is later replaced by someone else, the cover ends with it.
A new rock hit my windshield. Is that covered?
No, that is new damage rather than a workmanship fault. It is usually covered by insurance though, and we will file that claim for you.
My windshield is leaking. Who do I call?
Us. Call the shop and we will arrange to look at it. If it traces back to our installation we put it right at no cost.
Does the warranty cover the glass itself?
Defects in the glass are covered by the manufacturer rather than by us, and we handle that claim on your behalf. Our warranty covers the work.
